1. Website Owner and Agreement Binding

This website is owned and operated by BlackStar Arms.
These Terms set forth the agreement under which you may use our website and services, including training courses, permit-to-carry instruction, and related educational or informational content.
By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Who Can Use Our Website and Services

You may use our website and/or receive our services only if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.

  • Have the legal right to own or possess a firearm under applicable state and federal laws.

  • Provide a valid government-issued photo ID when required.

  • Are not prohibited from using our services under applicable laws or regulations.

 

3. Key Commercial Terms

When purchasing a course or service from BlackStar Arms, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for reading all course descriptions before registering.

  • Your purchase constitutes a legally binding agreement once you complete the checkout process.

  • Prices for courses and products are listed on our website and may change at any time.

  • Applicable taxes, processing fees, or transaction fees may apply.

 

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Student Cancellations

10+ days before class                              100% refund

5–9 days before class                               50% refund

Less than 4 days                                         No refund

No-shows                                                      Non-refundable

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to dave@blackstararms.org.

  • No-shows (no prior notice) forfeit all refunds.

  • Arriving 15 minutes or more late may result in denied entry at the instructor’s discretion, with no refund or reschedule.

 

Class Cancellations by BlackStar Arms

We may cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment, weather, or instructor unavailability. In such cases, students will receive:

  • A full refund, or

  • Free rescheduling to a future date.

 

5. Retention of Right to Change Offering

We may, without notice, change course schedules, modify training content, or discontinue certain services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who fails to comply with these Terms.

 

6. Warranties and Responsibilities

While our courses are designed to meet Minnesota’s permit-to-carry training requirements, completion of a course does not guarantee permit approval. Permit issuance is at the discretion of local or state authorities.

 

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, logos, images, and website content are the property of BlackStar Arms.
You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce our materials without prior written permission.

 

8. Assumption of Risk

Firearms training carries inherent risks. By participating in our courses, you voluntarily assume all risks of injury or damage and release BlackStar Arms, its instructors, and affiliates from any liability.

 

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BlackStar Arms from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our website or participation in our courses.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlackStar Arms shall not be liable for:

  • Any injury, property damage, or loss incurred during training.

  • Misuse of firearms after completing our courses.

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings during training sessions.

 

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the changes.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota.
